Hmm, I missed posting anything yesterday. By the time I got home, it was already late. Yesterday, I went to the library in the morning to research for my FQ, which I have to say, is kinda crappy, since I couldn't really find much information on the topic. It was a really cold day. Too bad that I didn't bring my jacket along, freezing ani wah. At 10am, I had a physio prac at the ILC building with Syimsyim and Yunyun. It was more of a tutorial actually. The room was really packed sampai ada yang duduk dilantai ani wah, hehe.. I have to say that the tute was productive jua lah since we got to practice answering some questions from a tutorial program in the computer.
At 11:30am, I met up with Sa'dy at the physio refrac for lunch. Then we went to the library to do some work. At 12:50pm, we headed to the anatomy building for a prac. The topic for this week was on the heart and the great vessels. We left around 2:15pm, then I went to the library to continue working on my FQ and start reading for my CC formative exam. I stayed in the library until 5pm then headed back home. Then, Yunyun and I went to caicai before going to Syimsyim and Nabnab's place. Each of us did our own thing, I studied for my CC. Sa'dy came over to S&N's place later on in the night as well. I was still not feeling well, so Syimsyim offered me some liquid cough medicine, hehe.. Ku suruh suapi ubat ah, nda tah ia jadi, haha.. joking2.. At half past 11pm, we headed back home. The cough medicine was starting to give some effect, so I was really sleepy once I reached home. Tidur tarus ani wah... hehehe..
Today, I woke up at half past 6am. I decided not to attend the 8am lecture. Instead, I reviewed my CC handbook and textbook. Prepared some food for my lunch later on. At a quarter to 9, I walked to uni, to meet up with my P.B.L mates near the vet clinic parking lot. Again, it was freezing this morning. Had to wear a jacket to warm up..bbrrrrrrr.... :p I guess winter is really approaching fast.
Mry and I got into Dan's car then we were on our way to the hospital. While waiting in front of the med school's parking lot, I saw 2 third year Bruneian seniors getting into the school. Our CCS history taking video review took place at the mental health unit at 9:30am. My tutor told me that I did very well in the video recording, and I was happy with the outcome of the video :) We finished by 11:45am, then my CC mates and I walked to the usual kitchen/tea room on the level where our CC will be held. I had my lunch of tuna sandwich and mandarine oranges.
Today, we had our formative exam on the respiratory system. It was rather informal but we were graded by our tutor. He readily answered some uncertainties that we had and corrected some of our techniques. He commented that I still need to practice on perfecting my percussion techniques, hehe.. I have to agree that it was still not up to par, nda brapa kedangaran banar wah.. nanti tah ku practice latuk2 arah dinding ni, hehe.. We were done by 3:40pm.
Rchelle drove us back to uni. There was a bit of traffic in the city area, so I was late for my 4pm tutorial at one of the P.B.L room. We discussed last week's asthma case. We were done by 6pm, then Syimsyim, Yunyun, Nabnab and I headed back home. Was really tired by the time we reached home. Quite a long and busy day today. Tonight, we wanted to cook a simple meal as we were both tired, so we had spaghetti and fried chicken for dinner. At the same time, sampat lagi liat Big brother tu.. hehe.. Bah that's all for today.
Gd night! :)

28 April 2008
Oh, it's you again, Monday..
It's the start of another week. Today, I woke up at 6:50am, as usual, having the hardest time waking up after turning in late last night. Going through the same routine as every other week, I walked to uni at a quarter to 8am, for the early morning P.B.L. We had another new case this week, dealing with the tetralogy of fallot, in which the patient was a 'blue baby' in the past. It was a short case, we went through all the triggers for the case today then assigned FQs to everyone. We finished at 10:30am. I received a text msg from my agent at Sta Travel about the change in the schedule of my flight to brunei this june, and I was asked to bring my ticket along to see her. Since I've got a 3-hour break, I decided to just head back home to get it and have lunch at the same time.
I had lunch of pasta, then headed back to uni at half past 1. I went to Sta travel to see my agent but she was not in tia, so I left my ticket with another agent. Then, I walked to the lecture theater for the 3-hour afternoon lectures. Sat with the Brunei gang as usual. This week, we are starting on the cardiology system. The first lecture was on the anatomy of the heart, which was alright. The second lecture was a wrap up of the gas exchange lectures and it was quite good. We decided to skip the last lecture, bunyinya mcm nda brapa siuk pasal social determinants of health kali tu, malas tah kami, hehe.. We decided to have an early dinner instead at the 1001 night restaurant at hawken drive. The owner and kitchen helper are really friendly and so eating there has always been a pleasant experience.
After dinner, the others went to Coles while I waited outside. I think that I've been to Coles, everyday, for the past 4 days udah, haha.. We headed back home at 5:15pm. I was really excited that Big Brother is starting up again this year. It's one of the reality shows other that Australian idol that I usually watch here..So I spent 2 hours watching the show tadi. I'm still not feeling well and my throat's getting itchy. I've been coughing and blowing my nose dari tadi.. Hmm, shouldn't have written that down, gali org mendgr, hahaha.. I better start makan ubat krg malam, I so dislike makan ubat, especially pills or capsules. They taste so blehhh.. I much prefer the liquid medicine yg masa kanak2 dulu atu, but I guess the effect will not be as great in adults than in kids, huh? :p Oh well, I better sleep early later so that I can get enough rest. Early day again tomoro!

Coles at hawken drive.. conveniently situated. 10 minutes walk from uni and 10-15 minutes from home.

revision, cakes, playtime, marathons and all the works
This week, we have a 3-day weekend due to the public holiday on friday (see previous post). I have enjoyed my weekend, which involved lots and lots of physical activity and not much of brain activity, hahaha.. This is how my weekend goes..
On Saturday, I woke up at 7:30am. We had a 9am tutorial with Hsn at the P.B.L room. Before going to uni, I went to Coles at hawken drive to buy thick cream and more scones for breakfast later. It was a sunny day, so I had to take out my umbrella to shield myself from the harmful UV rays, bukan plang sal atu jua, takut makin hitam.. I'm dark enough already, thank you very much, haha.. :p During the tutorial we discussed this week's case of asthma. As usual, it was a fun tute and we discussed some concepts that were difficult to grasp.
The tute ended at 12pm. We went back home. Syimsyim and Nabnab hung around at our place while waiting for 2pm for our BSS meeting. We had Indo Mee, chicken nuggets and nandos fries for lunch while watching FRIENDS. At a quarter to 2pm, Nabnab, Syimsyim, Yunyun, Sa'dy and I headed back to uni for our meeting at one of the P.B.L rooms. We met with our second year seniors on the way. The BSS meeting took an hour and a half, then we headed to the netball courts for our netball/dodgeball funday which started at 4pm.
We played netball (aku antam2 plang tu, nda ku brapa pandai nyantaa) and I have to admit that I had fun fun fun.. Exercise ku banar, lusir2, haha.. We played till 6pm and had quite a workout. We went home, but I made a pit stop to caicai's to get sikui. Tais liur ku kan makan, so I bought the last chunk/slice of watermelon bejual. Malas ku bali yg sebiji basar atu, nda masuk esbuk. Ampai2 diluar, takutku buruk. So, then headed back home. Rupanya sikui ku bali atu, nda tah jua baik Bilaku buka plastiknya, aduiiii, bangas rupanya.. Ish ish ish..Rugiku cai.. adehh... baik jua I still have a small portion of sikui ariatu in the fridge, iatah ku makan.. story of my life.. hahaha
That night, Yunyun and I had dinner of daging sambal and sotong kicap. Yunyun was going to celebrate her advance 22nd b'day that night with cakes, teas and movie. We had a pajama party (semua org misti pakai baju tidur) which then turned to a slumber party. Nabnab, Syimsyim, Hazzie, Fathmee, Rahmat and Sa'dy were there. We watched a Japanese horror movie, Tomie, which we fast forwarded a couple of times since pacingnya selowww. Then we watched a Malay movie, Cuci, which was really funny. Basically, it's a story of brotherhood and achieving your dreams in the cleaning business, hehehe..
I actually took some pics during the party, but I know that the others will kill me if I post it up, with them wearing their pjs, haha.. ada sambil sandar2 lagitu.. private collection tah saja tu.. :p The party lasted till 1 something in the morning. Syimsyim, Nabnab and Hazzie slept over at our place. I slept at around 2am.
Sunday, woke up at 9:30am, with some back aches, asikk bagas main netball klemarin atu, barutah terasa sanggal nya.. Today, we had breakfast of nasi goreng and cucur udang. We watched another movie, The Eye, staring Jessica Alba, a movie adapted from a Chinese horror film. It was a good movie, with some "tekajut" moments. As usual, I had to watch, more like peeking actually, haha, with my hand in front of my face, with an inch or so lubang that I made with my hand, haha.. kalo kan dibawa meliat cerita hantu arah wayang, jgn tah di bawa aku ani, ndaku berani, hahaha.. Our guests stayed over till noon.
Then, had a shower and panyap2 rumah kajap. At 1:30pm, Yunyun, Syimsyim and I went to Coles at toowong for some groceries. Once back in St Lucia, singgah lagi kajap at caicai's to buy soy sauce and bread. Saw Frh on her way from caicai's. Arrived home at 3pm. Now, resting and blogging. Will cook dinner later, hehe.. My weekend had been enjoyable.. how has urs been? :)

25 April 2008
And they come in marching on and on...
Today is Anzac Day. For those history enthusiasts, here's some background information regarding Anzac Day. Anzac Day, 25th April, is Australia's most important national occasion. It marks the anniversary of the first major military action fought by Australian and New Zealand forces during the first World War. ANZAC stands for Australian and New Zealand Army Corps.
When the war broke out in 1914, Australia had been a federal commonwealth for only 14 years. . In 1915 Australian and New Zealand soldiers formed part of the allied expedition that set out to capture the Gallipoli peninsula to open the way to the Black Sea for the allied navies. The plan was to capture Constantinople (now Istanbul), the capital of the Ottoman Empire and an ally of Germany. They landed at Gallipoli on 25 April, meeting fierce resistance from the Turkish defenders. What had been planned as a bold stroke to knock Turkey out of the war quickly became a stalemate, and the campaign dragged on for eight months. At the end of 1915 the allied forces were evacuated after both sides had suffered heavy casualties and endured great hardships. Over 8,000 Australian soldiers were killed. News of the landing at Gallipoli made a profound impact on Australians at home and 25 April quickly became the day on which Australians remembered the sacrifice of those who had died in war. Although the Gallipoli campaign failed in its military objectives of capturing Constantinople and knocking Turkey out of the war, the Australian and New Zealand actions during the campaign bequeathed an intangible but powerful legacy.
Australians recognise 25 April as an occasion of national commemoration. Commemorative services are held at dawn – the time of the original landing – across the nation. Later in the day, ex-servicemen and women meet and join in marches through the major cities and many smaller centres. Commemorative ceremonies are held at war memorials around the country. It is a day when Australians reflect on the many different meanings of war.
So, that's what Anzac day represents. I have never tasted the biscuits before, but adaku nampak bejual arah supermarket, hehe. Moving on, here's how my day went on. I woke up early today, around 8:30am. At 9:45am, I decided to head to the library, in hopes of getting some reading done. When I arrived at the library, it was actually still closed. Rupanya buka pukul 12.. so I decided to just go to the P.B.L room. The building was really quiet. Stayed there till 12pm, then went to the library and did some work for my ethics essay. I didn't stay long, nda nyaman rasaku, I think I may be coming down with the flu.. I have not been feeling good for the last 2 days.. could it be due to the unpredictable weather or mayb I could have caught something dari hospital visit ku dulu atu.. ntah lah..I stayed there til 2:30pm, then walked to hawken drive to Coles.. laaa, tutup rupanya.. ngalih saja ku barat mengangkut laptop sampai ke sana, haha.. namanya public holiday kan.. tapi nda jua ku sangka supermarket kan tutup masa cuti ani. I went to the bakery instead to get some scones, baik jua buka.. I arrived home by 3pm. Fried some wedges, and rest. At 4:30pm, Yunyun, Syimsyim and I went for a jog, well more for a walk actually, hehe.. We jogged/walked along the John Oxley walkway at UQ, and met Mea and Hsn coming from the opposite direction. Rajin durang jogging.. hehe..
We crossed the bridge to the other end and went down the road at dutton park, where we saw some old graveyards not far from the river. Baru tu, kalau nda turun ke bawah atu, nda kami nampak, hehe.. We walked all the way back, and by that time, it was already getting darker. We saw a rainbow while we stopped for a bit of a rest on the bridge. Jarang sudah kan nampak rainbow ani. Then we walked back home, and sampai rumah at 5:50pm. As always, it was a really refreshing walk.
Later on, we had a dinner of lemon chicken, lauk goreng and ramis. It's time for a rest now. Tomorrow will be a busy day for us.
Gd night! :)

Red poppies, a symbol of remembrance. Families often place red poppies beside the names of relatives on the Memorial's Roll of Honour.ANZAC day biscuits, a snack food most commonly made from the primary ingredients of rolled oats, coconut, and golden syrup. Many myths surround the origin of the ANZAC Biscuits. One story is that the biscuits were made by Australian and New Zealand women for the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC) soldiers during World War I, that they were reputedly first called "Soldiers' Biscuits" then renamed "ANZAC Biscuits" after the Gallipoli landing.

Shopping, sermons, and everything in between
No morning lectures today! :) Hence the sleep in. I managed to get 10 hours of sleep. Woke up at 9am today. Printed out my FQ for presentation in the P.B.L later on. I had pasta again for lunch, hehe. At a quarter to noon, I walked to uni for my P.B.L session. Met with Hazzie and Sa'dy while waiting for the elevator at the P.B.L building, then saw Syimsyim at the 5th floor carrying a donut :) As usual, thursday's P.B.L is the presentation of each person's research topic. The P.B.L ended at 2pm after 2 hours of discussion and such, though I was quiet most of the time, except for my turn in presenting my topic on antibiotics, haha..
I have no other classes after P.B.L, so I decided to go to the library to 'try' studying. Alas, it was a fruitless effort as I spent the entire time checking out people's facebook profiles and reading blogs, while my book lay open untouched next to me, haha.. Oh well, dtg tia penyakit "M" atu nah.. The library was noticeably less crowded than usual. I guess that the prospect of a 3-day weekend is quite appealing, so others may started theirs straight away. I sent messages to my 3 other "bosom" buddies if they wanted to jalan2 later. Nabnab and Yunyun were just finishing their CC while Syimsyim was just starting. We agreed to meet at 5pm at the city, to go to Chermside shopping complex.
I decided to just head back home at 3:30pm to freshen up and get something to eat. I went to catch the 4:30pm bus from the bus stop in front of nandos. Saw Yunyun getting on the same bus at toowong. Yunyun and I then waited at the bus stop on adelaide street for Nabnab, to catch the 333 bus to Chermside. We'll be meeting Syimsyim at Chermside since she was actually at the hospital and thus closer to the shopping complex. There was a long and large crowd waiting, those just getting off from work and whatever activities they have been doing. The 3 of us got into the 5:15pm bus and I had to stand most of the way since busnya panuh, aduii.. Believe me when I say this, the traffic was insannneeee! It was a slow crawl rasaku, haha.. What bad timing to go to a jauh place, especially during peak hours. The supposedly 30 minutes ride took more than 50 minutes.
We met Syimsyim at the shopping complex. Kesian ia menunggu kami batah sampai, hehe.. We jalan2 keluar masuk kadai. We met with Vnessa, our former anat tutor back when we were doing our biomedical course. She is really friendly and pengelala orangnya, asking how we are doing now. Then, we continued on shop hopping. I bought a new baju for my sister and one for me, and a new pair of thongs. We stayed there until 8pm.
While waiting for the bus home, an interesting thing happened. We were talking among ourselves when we were slowly approached by orang putih, 2 girls and a guy, within our age range. Initially they were looking at each other as if deciding whether to talk to us or not. Dalam hati, we were expecting them to talk about some kind of charity or something. They started out asking how we were and some introductory stuff that I can't seem to remember. Then tarus2 tia becakap pasal chrstianity and their beliefs in jsus. They were also asking us if we are experiencing any problems in our life and if we do, they would gladly pray for us, telling us that they had helped a man who was bound on a wheelchair to stand after praying for him. They even claimed to have made a video recording of it They also claimed to have helped those who are doing some soul searching tia apa. . Dalam hati banyak2 plang berastagapar.. balik2 lagitu durang tanya if we need their help in praying for us.. We told them that we have no problems and are quite content masa ani. Kami gtau jua that we are muslims. After they continued their "ceramah", at last, they left us alone and we were at first speechless to what have happened. Jauh palis, apakah apakah.. Then the 333 bus to city arrived, so we boarded the bus. On the way out, I saw the 3 people again, standing around another group of people at the bus stop. Ada2 saja..
We were lucky because once we reached the city, the 412 bus for st lucia have just arrived, so we don't have to wait that long. As usual, there was along queue but we managed to get seats in the bus. We arrived home at around 9pm. Had a quick shower and I had dinner of indo mee, ramis, talur mata lembu and chicken nuggets. Ani blogging tia plang nah. Oh btw, I almost forget to mention, I learnt a new Brunei word today. Yunyun was talking about the banana she was eating which tasted "mangkal". Rupanya "mangkal" ani ertinya usulnya saja masak tapi sebenarnya nda. Mentah tah rasanya tu ah, luruskah tu pemahaman ku atu? :p Apparently, the word only applies to fruits. Hehe, oh well, sehari sepatah kata..
Gd night! :)
P.S. wanted to add more pics tapi ada error tia, huh.. ahir udah, mayb sometime soon, hehe.

Gd night! :)

Into the night
What an exhausting day! Sambil menguap2 ku membuat post ani, haha, looks like an early night for me today. I woke up at 6:30am today to revise my CC handbook, since last night I couldn't really digest whatever it was that I have read. I did not go to my early 8am lecture, since I have to go to the RBH hospital for my CCS and CC today. Knowing that I'll be staying in the hospital, I cooked pasta for my lunch later on.
At 8:30am, I headed to uni to meet up with my P.B.L mates for a lift to the hospital. Dan, Mchael & Rchelle were driving. I got into Dan's car with Cass and Kal. We arrived at 9:20am at the hospital. Our CCS started at 9:30am in one of the teaching rooms. We were reviewing our videos for history taking. There were some hilarious scenes and some good ones. Only 6 were able to present their videos this week. Mine will be reviewed next week, dam dim dum.. But I got to see myself acting as Mry's patient for her video. It was really embarassing to watch myself act in front of the others haha.. But I think I did okay as her patient, what with the need to appear anxious and all. Well it's part of the teaching process kan, misti tah dibuat jua.
We finished at 12pm. There was still an hour before the start of my CC, so we hung around the kitchen/tea room on the same floor. My stomach was already grumbling by that time, so I had my lunch of pasta that I packed from home. For the clinical coaching, we were scheduled to visit the extended care unit at the same hospital. This is our first ward visit for CC, so I was quite excited and nervous at the same time. Dr D introduced us to the registrar nurse at the unit. The nurses were quite friendly and all with the smilies. While we were waiting for Dr D to sort out which patients we can see, suddenly an old lady walked into the corridor where we were waiting. She called out to us, asking us to walk her to her bed. My two friends who were standing nearest to her then followed suit and helped her to lay on her bed. Apparently, according to the nurse, that has happened a couple of times (by the same patient).
Dr D then divided us into pairs, into different rooms to practice on our history taking. Rchelle and I paired up and talked to this sweet, animated old lady. She was there for a broken hip which occurred 2 weeks ago. She told us about her life story, medical-wise, (some interesting war stories included) and how grateful and amazed she was with the good management and treatment plan that she is getting now. Banar jua nya c Nabnab, kuat becerita durang ani..siuk plang mendangar some of the stories. After 15-20 mins or so, Dr D popped in to check on us and to tell us to end the session. We exchanged good byes and wished her a speedy recovery. We then went to see another patient who is willing to allow us to practice respiratory examination on him. Alx performed the examination while the rest of us observed. After the exam, we sat at the dining area and discussed our findings and observations. The CC ended at 3pm.
Rchelle drove us back home. I arrived home at 3:30pm and freshened up. 10 minutes to 4, I headed back to uni for a tutorial session at 4pm in the P.B.L building. We discussed week 12's case of cystic fibrosis and went through the steps in a respiratory examination. We were done by 6:15pm. By this time, it was already dark outside and it was starting to get cold. Yunyun, Nabnab, Rhmat, Val, Hazzie and I walked home. I was really exhausted by the time I reached home. We decided to just cook a simple meal, so we had mee kasar and chicken nuggets for dinner. After dinner, I continued on editing my FQ then posted it up on the group mail. Showered at 9pm (ahir!) haha.. then rest. I'm so happy that no morning lectures will be held tomorrow so I could sleep in!

Work and Play
I'm just going to make this short and sweet, hehe.. I woke up at a quarter to 7am today. Had an 8am lecture today on gas exchange, part 2. Then, I had a physiology prac. Went to the lab with syimsyim, who also have the same prac today at 9am. The practical was on the applications of spirometry and peak flow meter. It was a good session and I had the chance to use the peak flow meter to measure my peak expiratory flow, which came about to 400 L/min. The value is within the normal range for my age and height (yey!), so am happy with that..hehe.. After the prac, decided to not attend the anat prac later on in the afternoon, malas ku, hehe, ku dangar bnyak org nda dtg jua.. so instead, I went to Indooroopilly. I have not been there for quite some time. Bought a new t-shirt. At 3, I took the 428 bus to uni, then got into the 412 bus, heading home. I made a pit stop to caicai's to get ice cream, tais liur ku, hehe. At home, I started on doing my FQ for this week. For dinner, yunyun and I had chicken kurma and veggies. Spent the night doing my FQ. Too tired to talk more panjang lebar here, hehe.. this is probably one of my shortest post ever, haha.. I have to get cracking on revising my CC handbook for tomorrow.. bah, that's all folks!
Gd night! :)

It's just another manic monday~~
That title is actually a reference to an old Bangles song. Yes, yes, I may be young (*smirks*), but I do listen to some lagu lama-lama zaman bapaku, haha.. Today, I woke up at a quarter to 7am. Had to drag my self out of bed, well it's monday, for goodness sake, hehe.. I realised that the apartment was eerily quiet. Yunyun must have gone out to catch the bus for her early morning CCS. After a quick shower and breakfast, I was on my way to uni for the morning P.B.L. I met Azim, who was also on his way to uni, in front of my building.
By the time I reached my P.B.L room, there were only 2 other people there, eventhough it was already 8am. Asik besosial kali masa weekend durang lain ani, hehe.. (if you guys know what I mean..) Anyway, we did the usual routine that we always do on monday P.B.Ls. We started on a new case of Asthma this week. By 10:30am, we were done. So, I walked to the printing shop to print out the afternoon lecture notes then went to the physio refractory to get something to eat. I decided to just stay at uni for the 3-hour break, malas ku jua kan balik rumah. I spent that time in the library instead, researching for my FQ.
I stayed there until a quarter to 2pm, then made my way to the lecture theater for the afternoon 3-hour lectures. Sat with the Brunei crew seperti biasa on our usual spot di tangah2. The first lecture that we had was an anatomy lecture on the thoracic wall. Ok jua lah lecturenya atu. The second was a pharmacology lecture.. banyak slides nya atu, menahan tidur ganya inda, haha.. ada plang yg ku nampak lintuk2 atu.. The third lecture was on gas exchange by a lecturer who actually is a former lecturer of mine when I did my biomedical course dulu. It was quite a good lecture.
The series of lecture ended at 5pm, then we headed back home. Was feeling tired, in addition to the muscles aches that I am still having from the long walk yesterday, hehe.. For dinner, we cooked spaghetti and fried chicken ala2 kfc.. sia-sia pun, dibrunei tah ku nanti banar-banari makan, haha, gerenti naik barat tu nanti.. oh well. :) Bah, short posting saja tonight, ngalih ku, hehe.

Interesting facts
Here are some interesting facts that I found from the net:
Butterflies taste with their feet.
An ostrich's eye is bigger than it's brain.
Apples, not caffeine, are more efficient at waking you up in the morning. (take a note at this guys..baik tah menstok apple ni kalo banar, hehe)
Walt Disney was afraid of mice. (the irony! haha)
Turtles can breath through their butts. (really?!)
If you yelled for 8 years, 7 months and 6 days, you would have produced enough sound energy to heat one cup of coffee. (anyone want to test that theory? baik tah ku masak aying panas.. hehe)
A cockroach will live for nine days without it's head, before it starves to death. (bohh, kepada yg takut lipas atu(sapa tu ah? *waggles eyebrows*), jgn terpedaya dgn lipas yg usulnya udh mati. Bisai2 saja, hehehe)
Mosquito repellents don't repel. They hide you. The spray blocks the mosquito's sensors so they don't know you are there.
The liquid inside young coconuts can be used as a substitute for blood plasma. (kalo kurang darah, pakai aying piasau dpt tah tu ah..)
You burn more calories sleeping than you do watching television. (hmm.. bah tidur tah ku)

Walk of life
The weekend comes and goes. It's Sunday now... where did my weekend go? Tomorrow is the same old same old routine again.. back to being busy and immersing myself with uni, hehe.. but I have enjoyed my weekend so far. Today, I woke up around 9am, which is a little early for my usual Sunday ritual. I guess I am gradually adapting to the early mornings that I have had for the past few weeks. I went out into the balcony to breath in the cold morning air. I think it may have rained some time during the night since the pavement and the road outside the apartment was wet. I did some cleaning inside and then went online. For brunch, Yunyun and I had nasi goreng kampung and cucur ikan bilis. I spent some time today typing some tutorial notes.
At 2:30pm, Yunyun, Nabnab and I decided to just go with our initial plan to walk to PA hospital from St. Lucia. (looks around for syimsyim..we would have more fun if you have joined! :p) We have heard from other Bruneians that we could actually walk to the hospital (which obviously would take longer, hehe) instead of taking the bus using the Eleanor Schonell bridge at UQ. We were curious to try that, then asked Hsn for the directions. We started the walk at 2:50pm. By this time, the weather has gotten much warmer, so panas lah jua sikit. We walked through McQuarie Street and it took us 20 minutes to get to the Schonell bridge from there.
Sambil2 bejalan atu, took some photos as well. Kalo nda begambar, nda sah, haha.. We reached the end of the bridge, which is at Dutton Park and consulted our paper containing the directions.
We walked up the hill till we reached the traffic lights.
On the way, we kept to the left side of the road. Saw a cemetery on the right side of the road, a vet, gas station, fish and chips place, some kadai2, a train station, houses and apartment buildings. We reached PA hospital in about an hour and was happy with our achievement, haha.. Baik jua nda sasat.. We went inside to buy drinks at Starbucks and rested for 10 minutes. Then we made our way back using the same route as before which took another hour.
We reached home at around 5pm. We were really exhausted, sanggal batis non stop bejalan atu, haha, but it was worth it. Had a good time. For dinner, we cooked a simple meal of chicken and vedgies soup and rice. Am spending the night resting.
Hope you guys had a great weekend as well.

When Saturday arrives
The weekend is finally here. I woke up at 9am, I know, I know, ahir ku bangun, since I had a late night last night, hehe.. Today, we had a tute with Hsn and Mea at 10am. Since all the group rooms in the library were fully booked, we decided to use one of the P.B.L rooms. I think that we had more freedom than in the library since kami iski bising becerita2 hehe.. We discussed the cases for weeks 11 and 12. The tute was a fun one.. I didn't have any breakfast before coming to the tute, so I was munching food all the way.. ( didn't think anybody noticed.. ) We had the tute longer than usual. It ended at 1pm.
After the tute, Yunyun and I went to Coles Hawken to buy rice. We bought the 5kg rice packs each, to equalise the "baratness" instead of buying the 10kg rice sack, then walked home with extra kilos than before, hehe.. We cooked a late lunch, of lemon chicken, sardine and "vedgies". Ate lunch while watching FRIENDS as we usually do.
I got bored that afternoon, so at 4:40pm, I decided to go for a jog/walk (more of walking actually, haha, ketara nda fit :p). The weather was really good for jogging, breezy and "mendung" (apa org putihnya kan mendung ani? mental block ku skajap, hehe). I jogged to the Schonell bridge at UQ grounds. On the way, I saw Hazzie, near the round about, on her way home from uni. Near the UQ netball courts, I saw Azim, Ka Umi and other Bruneians playing netball. They called out to me and invited me to join their game, but I declined since I don't know how to play, hehe.. The adjoining tennis courts and fields were occupied by sports enthusiasts. I continued on my jog and have to be on the look out at the same time, since some joggers are there with their little doggies. I do not want a rep eat performance from last year's incidence, hahaha.. (kana bubut kuyuk kami ah, well that's another storyyy... :p)

The Schonell bridge from afar
From the bridge, I walked back using the same route as before. I had to cut my jog short since by the time I reached McQuarie St., it started to drizzle and had to take the shortest route home via Munro St. The 1 hour jog was really refreshing. Should do that more often in the future, hehe..
Spent the night at home, and learnt from Nabnab that our schedule for the elective in Brunei is already available. Had intense online discussion with the other 3 girls, c yunyun, syimsyim and nabnab..hehe..Yg ku heran, I actually applied to do gastro for the first 2 weeks, followed by GP for the last 2 weeks, tapi dalam schedule tebalik pulang, aishh.. and I actually made a preference to do my GP weeks in a clinic near my home, tapi temixup kali, kana buat plang preferenceku arah ripas.. hmm, heran ku.. I actually don't mind doing it arah the big hospital, but the prospect of looking for parking spaces early in the morning atu yang teturn off, haha.. Awal tah ku ke sana tu nanti.. Oh well, we'll see how the application process goes nanti, mana tau ada some changes kah apa.
Bah, that's all for tonight.
Gd night! :)

Friday fun
I had fun today. Destressing really, what with all the food that I consumed and the laughs in between. There were no morning classes today, so Yunyun and I decided to go to "bandar cina" atau chinatown to restock our "kekaringan" fridge. We rode on the 9:50am bus from St. Lucia to city. The weather was gloomy, and it started to rain rather heavily. Once we reached the city, the sun reared its head, and hujan panas tia jua. First we went to the myer centre since yunyun wanted to re-alter her pants since the tailor did not do a good job the first time around. Then we had to take out some cash since there is not much of an "eftpos" facility at chinatown. We waited at the bus stop for the 199 bus to china town for quite some time, nda on schedule bus nya ani, kan panjang queue orang menunggu atu.
Once at chinatown, we stopped first at Yuen's to get some groceries and bought fish and mussels. As usual, yunyun and I were batah standing infront of the fish section at the back of the shop, since kami nda tau ikan apa bisai dibali. Ever since that one time kami salah bali ikan yg banyak tulang payah kan makan, wary tah kami mana satu bisai. The fish vendor was melirik2 arah kami, batah ia menunggu, haha. Iatah dibrunei jarang ku ikut ke pasar, ani jenis ikan pun nda brapa tau, hehe. Then we went to Wing Hing, to get chili sauce and some snacks. Next, went to Ismail's butchery to get chicken and beef, enough to feed us for 2 weeks or so. We got everything that we wanted, so we returned to toowong by train. Had to wait for another 15 minutes to catch the 412 bus to st. lucia. We saw Syimsyim and Nabnab in the same bus, with Azim as well.
We decided not to go to the 1pm lecture and cooked lunch instead. For lunch, we had mussels with soy sauce, fish curry and veggies.

Yunyun with her catch of the day.. bagas ia merambat arah Uq lake tu, hahaha (jgn bising2, shhhh...)
Our lunch tadi.. kanyangg ;p
After lunch and rest, we went to the city at 4:30pm with Syimsyim. We went our separate ways once arah city since we had different things that we wanted to check out. Since it's friday, the city is open till 9pm. There was a dance performance in front of myer centre and a lot of human traffic. The 3 of us met up at 6pm to catch the citycat to Southbank where we will be meeting with Nabnab. We watched Forgetting Sarah Marshall, which is a very funny romantic comedy. It does stay true to its MA15 rating, haha, jadi be prepared for some uncensred scenes.. tekajut ku jua since the trailer doesnt show those scenes, haha.. but overall, it was a funny movie, ketawa2 saja kami dari awal sampai ahir.. bagus lah jua, kurang jua sataress kan..
After the movie, we decided that the night was still young, so we went to the cultural centre bus stop to catch the bus to west end. We went to the Three Monkeys for some mouth watering cakes and nachos. nyum! :) The place was packed, but luckily we managed to grab a table inside.
chumm bahhh.. chumm bahhh.. c yunyun main peek-a-boo sorang sorang, haha (joking2)
red for raspberry, blue for blueberry?, yellow for orange, green for lime, brown for cola.. nyaman! :)
