A Weekend in Miri

Last Saturday, my family and I went to Miri and spent the weekend there. We stayed over for 1 night at Imperial Hotel and had such a relaxing weekend. Below are some piccies! :)

Back for the Holidays

Hi folks! :)

I am currently in a holiday mode. My sister is back for her 2-week holiday from Cairo since the 26th of January, and my family and I are very grateful that she is safely in Brunei right now, especially with the news of the trouble and protesting that are currently happening in Egypt. It is certainly a dangerous situation and we pray that the other Brunei students will be safe from all the troubles. We heard from my sister's housemates that there were tanks and men with rifles wondering about outside their current apartment last Sunday. Oh my goodness! That would certainly be a frightening sight! It looks like that my sister has to extend her holidays in Brunei until the situation has calmed down. Of course we are very happy to spend more time with her much longer than planned.

Hajat Prayers & Birthdays

On Friday night, 31st December 2010, we had a mass Hajat prayer at home with Uda, Bungsu Hj Mail & Iring's respective families at home. We also decided to celebrate Nini's 76th birthday as well as any December birthdays that night. Let the piccies speak for itself! :)

Presenting.....

Yesterday afternoon, I went with my parents to represent my sister who has been awarded with 2 awards: Pelajar Cemerlang & Pelajar Terbaik from the Ministry of Religious Affairs in a ceremony held in Bridex. The awards were presented by the minister himself and dad went on stage to receive the awards twice on my sister's behalf. Congrats Mun! :))) So this post is especially dedicated to my sister Mun in Mesir, hehe. I also had the the opportunity to meet with 2 of my former IRK teachers Cgu Mariani and Cgu Jurinah. Yesterday, mom was awarded 'Pingat Jasa Kebaktian' medal by the Crown Prince in a ceremony held at the palace. This is mom's third time receiving similar medals in the recent years.
