Our chicken and beef supply was running really low, I mean, really, we only have 2 pieces of chicken wings left in the fridge, haha, so eventually Yunyun and I decided to go to Chinatown yesterday to restock our fridge. There are only 2 Halal butcheries that I know of in Brisbane, one in Chinatown and another in Stones Corner. The one in Chinatown is the most convenient to go to. So at close to 11am, Yunyun and I rode on the 412 bus to Toowong to catch the train there. The bus driver was saying, "free ride! free ride! just get in.." We were lucky to get a free bus ride from St Lucia to Toowong. This does not happen very often here, though I have experienced that twice before, hehe.. When we arrived at toowong station, we need to buy transport tickets which can only be purchased from an automated ticket machine. This is our first time using the machine. Usually, we bought the tickets from the bus driver or the citycat conductor itself. So kami "sakai" lah memakai the machine, haha. Toowong is actually at Zone 2, but rupanya, if you get on the train at Toowong, it is considered to be Zone 1 since the railway is on Zone 1. We thought that we keyed in the wrong destination but the person behind the counter said that andangnya cematu nya. There goes our $2.40. The only problem is that when we want to get back from Toowong to St. Lucia, then we need to get new tickets since St Lucia is at Zone 2. Ish ish ish, hehe.. Oh well, extra expenses on transport kami yesterday. If we have just paid our tickets tarus arah bus awal atu, baru bisai macam biasa, haha..
So we arrived at Brunswick Station at Chinatown aka Fortitude Valley, and went to Yuen's to get some fresh fish and mussels. Then we went to the butcher and the fresh fruit deli. The person arah butchery was nice enough to give us a Ramadhan calendar for prayer times here. Wah, less than 2 weeks before the start of Ramadhan! Skajap, hehe. I wonder when we'll be starting the Ramadhan fast here. If I'm not mistaken, the predicted date for first of Ramadhan in Brunei is on the 1st of September. Usually in Oz, we will start fasting a day later than Brunei. Well just see lah the results nanti when they had the viewing of the new moon here soon.. hehe. From Chinatown, we caught the train back to Toowong and proceeded on to Coles for some grocery shopping, before returning back home. Cooked dinner then buat kraja masing-masing. I did some preparation for my formative exam the next day.
Today, I had my formative exam on the Musculoskeletal System. We learned quite a lot for this system weeks ago, but only the Shoulder Exam and Knee Exam are examined. Kirakan, formative exam is kind of like a "practice" exam. The tutor did not mark us or anything, but she did make some comments and corrected some of our examining techniques. She said that we did well but we just need some polishing to do before our Summative exam next week, which is the real "graded" exam for clinical coaching, hehe. Knee exam rasanya lagi banyak from Shoulder exam, macam2 ada, haha, angkat kaki cemani lah, bengkok cematu lah and sampai ada in one of the special test called the "Anterior Drawer" test ani, in which we need to flex (bend) the knee of the patient sampai 90 degrees and the examiner had to sit on the patient's foot to perform the test, hehehe.. The bed yang kana sediakan arah the coaching room atu was quite high so they also provided some steps or a 2-steps tangga ali-ali for those yang short. Being short myself compared to the others, begunalah stepsnya atu haha..
The session went well tadi and the tutor also provided some great tips and extra information to help us understand more. After the CC at uni, I went to Coles to get some stuff for this Friday's dinner before heading home. I decided to make some manisan as well then we had our dinner. Tonight while chatting and reading FQs, Yunyun and I were watching So You Think You Can Dance, US version kan, ada this couple kana assigned to dance a "Bollywood" theme. Lawa!! Imagine tah orang putih menari lagu Bollywood, at first I thought it would be awkward but nooo.. they danced smoothly and gracefully and it was rather siuk to watch! We don't usually follow the program but since the Olympic event that was playing that time nda brapa siuk, kami liat channel lain tah saja. Ada ni I include the video of the dance if you are interested in checking it out, hehe..
Bah, atu saja tah for now, hehe..
Gd night! :)
