Day 4: 5th January 2010
Since I wanted to upload quite a lot of photos for Day 4, I am going to divide the post into 2 parts. So during the 4th day of our stay in KL, we decided to head to Sunway Lagoon. My sister and I were so excited to go there, so after breakfast at the hotel, we were then on our way there. The taxi fare was about RM30. Once we arrived, it was an unfortunate thing that the theme park was closed on a Tuesday out of the 7 days! Thus, we can only view the theme park from afar and took pictures. How sad, hahaha!
Since we were there anyway, my family decided to just go to the Sunway Pyramid shopping complex. Once there, my sister and I went to play at the arcade, where we were the only ones playing, hahaha. After the arcade, we decided to enter the Sunway Pyramid Ice, for ice skating! How exciting! hehe. The admission fee is RM13 since it was a weekday. Since we did not have any socks or gloves, so we purchased two sets of those as well, RM5 for the socks and RM8 for the gloves respectively. The ice skating rink is big. I think the size is quite similar to the ice skating rinks in Brisbane that I have gone to. Below are some piccies from Sunway Pyramid and the area.
After that, we decided to go outside the Sunway hotel area to take photos and to hail a taxi.
We managed to get a taxi to get us back to the town centre. The taxi driver was a friendly Chinese guy. Our next intended destination after that was to visit Aquaria at KLCC. On the way there, the taxi driver suggested to bring us first to IMBI showroom, where the Roncato Leatherware showroom is located. They were currently having a promotion of buy 1 free 1 handbags. He said that the place is usually where they took tourists to, if they want to purchase handbags, belts and other leatherwares. We were given a mini tour by a tour guide who showed us several types of original leather skins such as cow skins, shark skins, crocodile leather and the most unique one, which is the stingray skin. The stingray leather has a special pearl which was naturally embedded on the hide, and the skin sparkles after being processed. The tour guide mentioned that the Chinese believes that wearing stingray leather will bring them good "feng shui" and good fortune. Unfortunately, we can't take any photos inside, so I just took some outside hehe.
He then brought us to another local chocolate-making shop nearby, famously known as Beryl's. We were also given a mini tour and tried a few samples of chocolates before we browse around the store.
After the two unintended visits, we then made our way to Aquaria KLCC.
Day 4 Part 2 will be in the next post!
