Last night, my sister and I went to watch the premier of the MJ's This Is It movie at Kiulap mall. The documentary movie is almost 2 hours long and it really showcases how amazingly talented and an extraordinarily caring person he was. His dance moves were mesmerizing to watch. He knew what he wanted and was passionate about his music. Throughout the movie, there are interviews and behind the scenes footage of his concert rehearsals. He is very much respected and there is plenty of love and teamwork around. Such an inspiration. I'd rate the movie 8.5/10 for its awesomeness! :)
Here's the movie's trailer:
Mun and I decided to have an early dinner at Jollibee before the start of the movie. :)
So yesterday, I went on an educational visit to the prison dept along with participants of a workshop from work. This was my first visit ever and I had the chance to witness a canning demonstration as part of the programme prepared. Of course, no live human was injured during the demonstration! hehe. It was such an experience, especially hearing the loud smack as the cane strikes the dummy in place. Just imagine if it were a real person! We saw some pictures resulting from the strokes, and you can see the angry red marks and the damaged skin as a result. I believe some bits of skin may break off and fly around from the canning. Talk about such a nasty visual! :S Here are some piccies from the demonstration below.
I realised that I have not baked anything for quite sometime. I guess since the Eid celebration, I have been eating a lot of cakes so the craving for cakes is easily satisfied, hehe. But I miss baking and so today, I decided to spend my afternoon making cupcakes which is one of my favourite things to do. Went to Giant to get some ingredients with Mun beforehand. Oh, and I had fun playing with the pipings for the icing on top of the cupcakes. Though the design is a bit ameteurish, but I am satisfied with the result! Haha! It doesn't take much to make me happy, lol. :D Here are some piccies! :)
Tadaa!! Fun cupcakes by me. The second cupcake on the top row with the white background is supposed to be a letter 'M' for my sister Mun, but it kinda melted and fused together, haha! Sorry mun, lol :)
More cupcakes
I put some colourings on the icing, and decorated the top with some M&Ms and rainbow sugar sprinklers
Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs Source: entertainmentwallpaper.net
Last week, Mun and I went to watch a movie at the cineplex. We decided to watch Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, which is an animated film. The movie is adapted from a children's book by Ron and Judi Barrett. The main character is Flint Lockwood, a young scientist, who is trying to create something that could improve the lives of the people in his town. The other main character is Sam Sparks, a weathergirl who comes to the town who hides her intelligence behind a perky exterior. It is a unique, rather original film. Just the idea of having food fall from the sky is a bit weird, but the film managed to be entertaining and funny. The graphics are very good. The colourful setting of the movie and some of the tantalizing delicious looking food on screen really makes you hungry at the end of the movie, in addition to having cravings of various kinds, haha. I especially enjoy the character of the cop in the movie as well. It is a good family movie. I'd rate the movie 8/10. :)

Surrogates Source: wallpaperster.com
This week, we watched another movie, Surrogate. This is another interesting movie where humans live in isolation and only interacts through robots known as surrogates. It was a bit confusing at first but it gets better as the story evolved. This action/sci-fi film really makes you think especially with all its twists and turns. I did not really have a high expectation for the film but it turned out great in the end hehe. I can't imagine myself being holed up in my home for eternity. As someone who likes to go out once in a while, I think I would go crazy! haha. Well, that is just me. But overall, it was an interesting concept for a movie which I surprisingly enjoyed. I'd rate the movie 8/10 as well. :)
This is my current favourite song which is on continuous playback, hehe.

Anywhere But Here by Safetysuit
Is this the end of the moment Or just a beautiful unfolding Of a love that will never be? Or maybe be
Everything that I never thought could happen Or ever to come pass and I wonder if maybe, maybe I could be All you ever dreamed
Cause you are beautiful inside, so lovely and I Can't see why I'd do anything without you, you are And when I'm not with you, I know that it's true That I'd rather be anywhere but here without you Anywhere but here
Is this a natural feeling Or is it just me bleeding? All my thoughts and dreams In hope that you will be with me or
Is this a moment to remember Or just a cold day in December? I wonder if maybe, oh, maybe I could be All you ever dreamed
Cause you are beautiful inside, so lovely and I Can't see why I'd do anything without you, you are And when I'm not with you, I know that it's true That I'd rather be anywhere but here without you Anywhere but here, anywhere but here
Is this the end of the moment Or just a beautiful unfolding Of a love that will never be Of you and me?
Cause you are beautiful inside, you're so lovely and I Can't see why I'd do anything without you, you are And when I'm not with you, yeah, I know that it's true That I'd rather be anywhere but here without you Whoa, ohh yeah, no no no no no
It has been a month since we last hung out. So last night, I went out with Tiyah and Rahmat. We have a lot of catching up to do! We decided to meet up at the Mall and see where we go from there. Eventually, we ended up at the food court for dinner. Then we headed to Coffee Zone and spent the rest of the night there. I had a great time! Here are some piccies from when we were at Coffee Zone. :D
I have some good news to share here. Last Wednesday, 14/10/2009, my sister Mun has been awarded as Pelajar Cemerlang Dalam Sekolah Ugama/Arab (SMALHB) and Pelajar Terbaik Sekolah - Sekolah Ugama/Arab bagi tahun 2008 by Jabatan Pengajian Islam, in a ceremony which was held in ICC. Congratulations Mun! I am very proud of you! :D I hope you will continue to excel in your studies and be able to get into a very good university! :) Now, she is waiting for her STPU exam results (upper sixth form arabic exam). Unfortunately, I was not able to attend the event, which leads me to my second good news hehe. Here are some piccies! :)
Congratulations Mun! :)
So for my second news, well, as you may know, I am done with my first temporary job before Raya. So now, I have a new part time job at UBD, which has started this week. The part time job will be for 10 weeks. I am happy to have another job to keep me busy. So far, it has been going well and I am learning new things as I go along. As in the permanent govt job front, well, I am still waiting for any news and posts. People say the usual job application process is always long and sometimes takes up to a year or so. Patience is a virtue! :)
